WordPress has always been a goto platform for small site build ups, but has also served as a strong CMS for some enterprise level solutions as well. With its extensive plugin basis and easy customization, site development is a breeze with this platform. From plugin to theme development, I always find myself interacting with WordPress on some level in several projects.
With some of the flack it gets from security perspectives, if done right, Wordpress is just as solid as any other solution.
